This is the artist's first EP, whereby ZuluMecca showcases how she is a wordsmith among many rappers. The expert combination of her laid back, rhythmic cadence and flow over mellow, yet vibey instrumentals is one that compliments each other so well, and ultimately draws attention to the message she is sharing through her music. She is such a master with words, showing off her command over the language and her finesse with alliteration and rhyme. The project is an ode to her ancestors, as well as her inheritance from their lineage which includes: royalty, strength, passion as well as the drive which she will optimize to reach her life goals and make an impact. She is a proud African who brings her demons to their knees by the power invested in her by her ancestors.
She also explores topics such as religion(salvation and damnation), human nature, ego and death.
This 6 track body of work is one that forces the listener to slow down in order to fully digest and appreciate the subject matter
