Eclectic, bold and emphatic are some of the adjectives that perfectly applied to this debut, self-titled album by the now legendary Sankomota. The team led by Frank Leepa created magic by the help of Lloyd Ross who hauled in his mobile studio after Sankomota (Uhuru) was kicked out of South Africa for daring to be bold to call out the aparheid government on its racist laws.
The result is a master piece, birthing timeless pieces such as 'House on Fire', 'Uhuru' and 'Vukani'. The blueprint in this album which came to be the template for all Sankomota albums is expression of music through multiple languages via different music styles.
