Appel's "Wille Ding is an album about the inner animal that hides in all of us. As a child, you are the closest to a wild thing you will ever be in your life. As you grow older, the world shapes you, and Appel feels it should be different. He feels he is part of a generation that doesn't really know who they are and the album tells the story.

The name 'Wille Ding' was inspired by the movie 'Where The Wild Things Are'.
